Fully Insured in, “C---fight!”

Warning: This review may contain spoilers.
Part of London Fringe Festival 2009

The Lounge, At Tequilla Rose
June 19–28, 2009

Ha!

Fully Insured says, “this ain’t your grandma’s sketch comedy show, baby! It’s your mother’s.”

You ain’t met my mother!

I think I even blushed when I saw two engorged cocks within minutes. Oh, not really and it’s not what you think. They wore these strap on—Oh gee whiz, how to describe for a family-friendly public? It’s not like I want to reveal what they reveal—I mean plot-wise. Let’s just say it takes balls to perform in this “cockfight.”

The I-don’t-know-what-generation Star Trek Spock fight was worth the price of admission alone. Lines like, “Are you trying to mind-mouth me?” and “Keep your Vulcan hands to yourself!” had me in stitches.

And the “Sopooko” sequence is just one more reason why I just say no to drugs.

It’s no surprise Fully Insured won Best Comedy at a previous Fringe. I wouldn’t call this show a thinking man’s heaven — Trailer Park Boys West, or Holy testosterone! are more like it — but, I had a blast and so would you.

P.S. To Fully Insured: I tried not to write with innuendo. I tried not to hide my true interest. For God’s sake, I mean what I say!
