This edition of Theatre in London On the Air was broadcast on July 7, 2009. In this show:

  1. Jeff and Simon welcome guests Dean Hall, Andrea Bennett, and Marcus Lundgren.
  2. The group recaps Fringe X, including favourite productions, which leads to a discussion of “what is theatre?”
  3. The discussion continues with a look at the appeal of the Fringe festival for local groups, the CAFF circuit, and a proposal for a free theatre festival.
  4. Simon and Jeff run down this month’s listings.
  5. The panel members recount their respective theatre backgrounds.
  6. The panel discussion concludes with (very!) brief comments on directing.
