    AUDITION NOTICE

    STORYBOOK GARDENS IS SEARCHING FOR PERFORMERS
    FOR OUR 2010 ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM

    Seeking:
    • “Entertainers” – Male and Female performers minimum age 16 years who enjoy working with children.
    • Great performers with great personalities.
    • You need to be able to sing well.
    • Dance is an asset, movement ability is essential – the show will be choreographed.

    Storybook Gardens Entertainment Staff will perform a variety of duties including stage shows, puppet shows, mascot interactions and delivery of children’s program activities. Our entertainment staff must be comfortable in the public light on and off the stage. This is not a “theatrical” or “stage” position but a well rounded entertainment position.     Audition Dates: Saturday, March 6, 2010 (additional audition times may be added)
    Time & Location: TBA

    More Information:
    • Training & Rehearsal Dates – First 3 weeks of May
    • Rate of Pay – This is a non-Union position. Rate of pay is $10.25/hour.
    • Part-time work in May & June, 35 hour work week in July & August
    • Must be available for the entire summer season. Time off will not be granted.
    • Auditions will consist of a singing audition, followed by a movement call and a personal interview.

    Job Description
    1. Perform theatre, music, and puppet performances on the Storybook Village Stage.
    2. Provide exceptional customer service to guest inquiries and concerns and complaints.
    3. Complement guest experience through interactive characters and one to one shows
    throughout the park.
    4. Interact with public to encourage participation of all ages in daily activities and programs.
    5. Lead birthday party programs and other special event activities for guests of the park
    6. Current Standard First Aid & CPR certificate required prior to start date.
    7. Requires current Vulnerable Positions Screening Police Reference Check satisfactory to
    the City of London. PRC must be provided at the interview portion of the interview. For information and explanation of this process please download our Employment Package at http://www.london.ca/storybook.
    8. Completion of 100% staff training is a condition of employment.
    9. Be flexible to work a variety of areas in the park as demanded from park needs.
