Aunt Betsey Barony, an invalid spinster has two visitors, her great-niece Liz, and Liz’s father Henry Barony, who having been cheated of a musical career himself, is determined to gratify his ambition by pushing Liz toward stardom as a concert singer. In her employ, Aunt Bets has had for many years a gardener, Dan Loomy and his wife the housekeeper who are opposed to all change.
