‘Art’
Winner of the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play, ‘Art’ is a dazzling comedy that deals with questions of male friendship, intellectual honesty, and, of course, what is or isn’t art. One of Marc’s best friends, Serge, has just bought a very expensive white painting. To Marc, the painting is a joke, but Serge insists Mark doesn’t have the proper standard to judge the work. A third friend, Yvan, though burdened by his own problems, allows himself to be pulled into the disagreement and tries, unsuccessfully, to placate both sides.
‘Art’ is being presented as a fundraising event for The ARTS Project. Proceeds will go directly to improving The ARTS Project’s theatre. A portion of the proceeds from the Wednesday Feb 4 show will be donated to Women’s Community House.
Tickets: $12 advance, $15 at the door; available at The ARTS Project box office, 519-642-2767.
