The Retreat from Moscow

After 33 years of marriage, Edward and Alice know what to expect from one another and there are no surprises for the history teacher and poetry editor. That is until the day Edward inexplicably leaves and their adult son Jamie sets out to figure out why. With each effort he makes to resolve his parents’ marriage, he begins to see the pair as individuals—individuals with flaws and differing definitions of happiness.

The Retreat from Moscow analyzes the lives of real people encountering real issues, and pushes the boundaries as everything right goes wrong. The debate of love and marriage, the lasting effect of long-term relationships, and how one family comes close to extinction is challenged in this emotionally complex work which will leave audiences with something to talk about.

Join us for a Dinner and Theatre Special Preview on Wednesday, May 18. Dinner will be hosted by The London Casbah, 200 Dundas Street. The meal includes Moroccan Chef Salad, Couscous with Chicken and Seven Vegetables, Moroccan Custard, and Fresh Mint Tea.
