Dark of the Moon

Set in the Appalachian Mountains, this Famous Broadway hit is a mythical and magical tale of a witch boy named John who wishes to become human after falling in love with a beautiful and lusty human named Barbara Allen. John makes a deal with Conjur Woman to allow him to remain a real human being, but only if his love, Barbara Allen, is faithful to him for one year. Dark Witch and Fair Witch secretly hope for John to fail and for Barbara Allen to pay for stealing him from Baldy Mountain. They make a deal of their own with Conjur Man with hopes to sabotage John and Barbara’s love. Will they succeed in breaking up the young couple or was lustrous Barbara Allen just never destined to be faithful in love? Dark of the Moon is “a legend with music,” says the New York Times.
