I Remember Mama

No description can do justice to the rich characters that fill this play, one of the treasures of American theatre. In I Remember Mama, one of the greatest plays ever written about the value of family, we see how Mama, with the help of Father and Uncle Chris, brings up her immigrant family in San Francisco in the early 1900s. Through great personal unselfishness, Mama, a sweet and capable manager, helps her children through childhood, educates them and sees one of her daughters begin her career as a writer. It is through this daughter’s memories that the events of the play unfold, affording us rich comedy in the goings-on of the children and Mama’s sisters and uncle, as well as incidental tragedy and an abundance of honest sentiment that will leave you enriched and inspired. 2 hours.
