Bye Bye Birdie

Rock n’ roll superstar Conrad Birdie is about to be drafted into the army to the dismay of his adoring fans. As part of one last publicity stunt cooked up by his agent, he promises to give a goodbye kiss to one lucky girl from Sweet Apple, Ohio on The Ed Sullivan Show. What is fascinating and timely about this 1961 Tony® Award-winning musical is how its theme is still so relevant in today’s society when you consider our fascination with paparazzi, celebrity and pop icons.

Tickets: $25, $20 for MTP members and students; available online or at the Palace Theatre box office, 519-432-1029. Student tickets are available at the door only.
