The Hero
Larry Lunderson is 42 years old and in love for the first time. Unfortunately the object of his affection is 32 years younger than him.
Performed in a single dizzying monologue, this misanthropic skewering of suburban malaise takes our morally-ambiguous narrator through the smudged looking glass of strip malls, laundromats and shadow-shrouded bungalows in a stream-of-conscious deluge both blackly humorous and sublimely unsettling, as together we speed toward the crossroads where our “hero” is forced to reveal his true colours.
Tickets: $10. Proceeds go to the Bruce Johnson Legacy Fund.
