Of Some Importance
A comedy in two acts in the style of the great Oscar Wilde. The play revolves around two bored Victorian housewives (Lucy and Annabelle) who yearn for excitement and purpose in their lives. Enter Oscar Wilde himself, who promises to make their lives a little more interesting. Combining original characters with some of Wilde’s most beloved, historical fact with new fiction, the play follows Annabelle and Lucy as they become involved with a small summer theatre company, and a plot of domestic terrorism led by a feisty Russian suffragette.
