The Homecoming

The large Spencer family, living in the Virginia mountains, is struggling hard just to survive but retains its warmth and sense of humour.

Jobs are scarce and father is working a long way from home. Clay-Boy is stuck with looking after his many brothers and sisters, but also has a secret. He wants to be a writer!

The practical folks in his community would consider this a strange and serious waste of time and father is no exception. On top of that, father is already long overdue in getting home.

Clay-Boy is in for a pleasant surprise.
