Songs For A New World

An abstract musical featuring a series of songs all sharing a common theme: the moment of decision.

This musical takes audience members on a whirlwind of diverse storytelling, from the comedy of Mrs. Claus’s lament over her ever-absent husband, to the unfathomable struggles faced by some of America’s first settlers.

In the words of songwriter-composer Jason Robert Brown himself, the musical’s message carries a profound meaning: “It’s about one moment. It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, take a stand, or turn around and go back.”
