Maintenant
Bullying is never acceptable. It shouldn’t be considered a “part of growing up”. Bullying is a serious issue, with far-reaching consequences for the children and all involved. From a youth’s perspective, we explore the varying facets of bullying, through contemporary dance, with the hope to inspire youth to make changes NOW.

Part of London Fringe Festival 2013
Congratulations to the fabulous dancers and choreographer of Maintenant at London Fringe Festival. A professional and moving performance with a powerful message.
I attended today with friends who would not normally go to a “dance show”. They were surprised at how this performance affected them and by how so much was communicated through dance. The incredible choreography by Richelle Hirlehey and the involvement of the young dancers of Barefoot Dance Company in the creation of this 40 minute piece helps give it an authenticity and connection with young people who have experienced bullying as well as helping others understand the true impact and devastation it can have. At the same time there uplifting moments in this show that give you hope for youth of today.
Don’t miss this performance that will leave you inspired, not only by the talent, sensitivity, maturity and professionalism of the youth performing, but also with hope that bullying is a problem that can be overcome if we do not tolerate it.
Kudos to all involved!
