Saw the matinee of this yesterday. It was so much fun! and really touching too. I love Oscar Wilde (I’m named for one of his characters too!) and I was so happy to see something other than The Importance of Being Earnest. The cast for this show is very strong, everything looked beautiful and I loved how all the furniture was covered at the beginning in the garden and then “revealed” by the “staff” as they were getting the house ready for the upper-class characters.
I read one review that said the costumes weren’t period appropriate, but it looked to me like they were going for early 20th Century rather than a Victorian-feel (like Titanic), in which case the costumes worked well, I think.
Very good show, and very different from some other things I’ve seen recently (in a good way!)
