The Monument

Nineteen-year-old Stetko has been tried and convicted of war crimes against women and now faces execution for those atrocities. His only saving grace comes in the form of an older woman named Mejra who steps in mere moments before his execution and offers to save him on one condition: he must do whatever she asks for the rest of his life. A reasonable request for a man facing death. Stetko accepts Mejra’s offer but soon finds that her offer is not quite so cut and dry and her motives are not as pure as he had hoped.
