Widow’s Wedding Dress

In 1958 Northern Ireland, sisters Rosaleen and Catherine grow to define their roles as women in a community of Irish Gypsies. In a culture dominated by passionate men and their taste for violence, the sisters give the audience a window into the lives of the women “around the campfires and in the caravans.” Reeling from a recent tragedy, the sisters must navigate their way toward acceptance, music, and light.

Please note that this play includes descriptions of violence and domestic abuse.
