The 2018 Brickenden Awards

Emcee Keith Tomasek hosted the 2018 Brickenden Awards for Theatrical Excellence in London ceremony at the Wolf Performance Hall on Monday night. The awards recognize companies and individuals in production- and performance-based categories for the 2018 calendar year.

Taking home the lion’s share of the awards this year were productions by London Community Players, spanning technical and artistic categories; new company Allswell Productions earned three, including the “prestige” outstanding director and outstanding musical trophies. The winners of most awards were decided by votes from the public, the Brickenden core, youth, and original script panels, and the organization’s executive committee. The Chris Doty Award is selected by the Brickenden committee, and the new People’s Choice award is decided through an online ballot.
