There is a pandemic happening in the world of Julius Caesar, so most communications are happening remotely. Caesar is threatening the political structures of the republic by moving towards one-man rule. (And yes, we do notice the parallels with the actions of Trump in US politics today.) Cassius instigates a conspiracy to kill Caesar and save the republic and, being aware of its historical significance, he gets his slave Pindarus to start documenting the events as they unfold. So through interviews, zoom conversations, broadcasts and surreptitious recordings, Pindarus makes his documentary on the fly, and what we are watching is the end result of his work.
