Literary and theatrical worlds collide as the Grand Theatre welcomes award-winning playwright, screenwriter, and novelist, Emma Donoghue to the theatre for An Evening with Emma Donoghue.
In advance of the North American premiere of the theatrical adaptation of Donoghue’s best-selling novel, Room, the Irish-turned-Canadian writer sits down with event host and Grand Theatre Artistic Director, Dennis Garnhum to provide exciting, new details on Room, discuss the pathway from novelist to playwright, and reflect on her illustrious career to date. This complimentary event will also give audience members the opportunity to have their burning questions answered in a live question and answer period.
The evening will culminate with a book signing and photo opportunity with Emma Donoghue. Copies of Room, the novel, will be available for purchase at online registration, or guests are welcome to bring a personal novel for signing. Refreshments will also be available for purchase at the Grand’s bar throughout the event.
