This is a student film through Fanshawe College that will be filming on March 7th-9th.
The story is of Alex, a young man still living with his family and working for his dad, while his friends had gone off to university without him. Baba, his father, is an immigrant to Canada and came here many years ago to raise his family by working hard and providing them with whatever they needed. He has since become overbearing and controlling, and is oblivious to Alex’s desires to be an artist and to college. Both are constantly butting heads, but something happens to Baba that makes him change his ways…
Alex – age 20-25, male
Baba – age 40-65, male
Mother – age 40-65, female
Daughters – ages 10-20, female
College students -ages 15-25, all genders
These roles can be credited through ACTRA as Fanshawe is a credited partner.
All COVID-19 guidelines will be followed on set, including full vaccinations proof from everyone in crew and cast.
Auditions will be held over Zoom with director Angee Friesen and producer Emma Mitchell.
