Pacheco Theatre opens in December 2009 with P.S. Your Cat is Dead…It’s 1975, early New Year’s Eve…let the fun begin!
Synopsis: Jimmy Zoole is a 38 year old actor experiencing a run of bad luck. Fired from a play and ditched by his girlfriend, Kate on New Year’s Eve, his bad luck continues when he suddenly catches a burglar, Vito, in his apartment. As Zoole and Vito get to know each other, a night of hilarity, scheming, revenge and unexpected truths ensues.
Jimmy Zoole – Attractive mid 30’s to early 40’s actor who has not made it, but has not, so far, given up trying. In his attempts to achieve success he has kept himself as square as possible, jumped through the hoop, played “good dog” for about as long as one can play good dog without turning rabid. His sense of humour has often saved him from flipping out. If on this New Year’s Eve he had not caught the burglar, he undoubtedly would have had a quiet nervous breakdown at home.
Vito Antonucci – Mid 20’s to early 30’s, who has been through more than his share of scrapes. Humpy, in an off-beat scroungy tom-cattish way, Vito would do, and has done anything to get by. Despite a tacky life and his wise-guy toughness, he is an optimist, a part-time romantic, and a soft touch. He is also a congenital f*** up, but with a flair and his own style.
Kate Hough – Pretty, sassy late 20’s to mid 30’s liberated fashion photographer with a mind and a lifestyle of her own. A girl with very few hang-ups, she is candid and even opinionated, but not without warmth and compassion. She has decided to cut off the relationship with Jimmy because the time has now come when the hassles of the relationship are outweighing the joys.
Fred Gable – Good looking teacher, late 20’s to late 30’s, well dressed, well educated, and thinks of himself as with-it and really tries, but is actually a bit behind it.
