The Grand Theatre currently has an exciting opportunity in our Development Department for an aspiring, dynamic, go-getting fundraising and development professional. The DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR will work closely with both the Director of Business Relationships & Events, and the Director of Development, to achieve the annual revenue goals & grow the number of individual donors for the theatre.
This role is the primary support to our Directors of Development, activating on strategy and fulfilling tasks and responsibilities as delegated, but with primary responsibility over the day-to-day operations of the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure accurate database management, gift processing and recognition, development and fulfillment of donor benefits, donor correspondence & acknowledgements, house program listings and mailings, booking and tracking of tickets for donors & sponsors
- Work with the Directors in supporting fundraising goals of the department including but not limited to the execution of rental, corporate and fundraising events, including annual Gala;
- Coordinate, make supplier arrangements, setup & teardown of events
- Some minor graphic design of invitations & signage for development events
- Coordinate donor cultivation and stewardship events to ensure an exceptional donor experience.
- In collaboration with the Director of Development, assist the development and implementation of our fundraising plan, activate strategies for solicitation that will grow annual revenue from individuals: manage all appeal campaigns, manage and monitor online giving initiatives, work collaboratively with other program areas to advance fundraising goals; meet with donors as determined by the Director of Development;
- Work with the Directors to provide support to the Board of Directors and the Fund Raising Committee on fundraising initiatives;
- Support the individual & major giving efforts of the Director Development, Director of Business Relationships & Events, Artistic Director and Executive Director and members of the Board of Directors.
- Work with the Director of Development in supporting coordination with communications team to develop strategies for development presence in all communications and marketing, and oversee the development presence on the website;
- Gather statistics & prepare regular reports on all campaign activities;
- Monitor revenue and expenses related to individual giving and support the Directors in all areas of development reporting.
- Assume other tasks and responsibilities as needed.
