Hey London Theatre people,
I’m currently looking for actors to perform ‘Quiz’ a one act play in this years London One Act Festival. Here’s the breakdown:
Synopsis: ‘Quiz’ tells the story of Quentin, a malcontent, and a minion,
whose job is to find those certain people whose time on this world is up. Travis, one
such unfortunate player, stumbles upon Quentin’s cat and mouse game – an absurd
quiz show – that offers cryptic and ever growing complications which confuse
and bewilder Travis. A simple flip of a coin decides
Travis’s fate, and the winner’s envelope receives another name to add to the
collection. Witty, dry, often absurd, Quiz offers a dark take on the off chance
that anyone, anywhere, might ask you a question, and depending on your answer,
you might find the winner’s circle could be somewhere six feet underground.
I’m currently looking for actor’s to fill 5 roles – 2 major and 3 minor.
Travis: Mid to late 20’s An awkward, kind-hearted person. Prone to misguided citizenship and not clever enough to realize it.
Quentin: Mid to late 30’s (can cast younger or older) The devilish, coy, and quick tempered quiz show host without much holding him together; save for his ability to hold an audience. Minor Characters:
Boy: 19-23 A sarcastic, rough edged, patron of the Ipod generation
Adam: (unspecified age) A fool, scared of his own shadow. Boyfriend to Helen
Helen: (unspecified age) Likes being in control. Barely acknowledges a world outside herself. Girlfriend to Adam.
Running time 20min. Show date will be during LOAF 2009, Tuesday April 21st and Thursday April 23rd.
Any interested parties can email me with their info and availability. Email: email@example.com Hope to hear from you soon!Take care
