Smoking Gun Entertainment
We are Smoking Gun Entertainment, Canada’s longest running murder mystery interactive entertainment company. We do shows in 16 cities across Canada, with over 30 themes (but 50 in our library) all written locally and for our talented acting troupes. We have themes from the roaring 20’s Mafia show, Hillbilly Wedding, Vegas Vendetta to a High School Reunion. No rehearsals needed, you get a skeleton script of how things should go, your character description and we have a prop box with all the clues and evidence a show needs. This unfolds right over dinner and guests work to solve the crime, but are led by our detective Terry Shane. The questions and answers and the summation is always the same, but no two shows ever are!
We are looking for talented, funny, outgoing actors to join our troupe for more local shows in London. Currently Toronto has been traveling to cover local shows there so we’d like to expand to start a troupe right there. You aren’t tied to any long show run, you can pick and choose what shows you’d like to do as they come up and you are asked to do them. Improv experience is a bonus but as long as you can be outrageous and talk to your audience, be witty and you like to have a lot of fun, you’d be great!
Dinner is usually included and a small honorarium of $80 – $100 for your 3ish hours of work that you can use for starting a tickle trunk of great costumes. Any out of town shows we cover mileage, do carpooling and pay a bit more for your time.
We are also looking for a local producer who is very involved in theatre and the whole local scene who would be able to recruit many actors. Producers cast the shows and get paid more.
Check out our website http://www.smokinggunentertainment.ca and please send headshots and resumes to: email@example.com as soon as possible as we have bookings coming up already! Toronto will come help you with your first few shows before you launch on your own!
I’m interested if you have any small parts available.
