New Stage Lighting and Sound Workshop Series

ETC NOMAD – Introduction to Lighting Console
Monday August 27, 6:30-9:30pm
In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to lighting board operations, learn about ETC EOS functionality, how to operate a programmed show, and the basics of programming.

Introduction to Sound Design: QLab
Tuesday August 28, 6:30-9:30pm
Requires some passing familiarity with console operation. Have you ever touched a sound board or observed someone else operating one? That’s all you need to participate in this workshop.  In this workshop you’ll receive an introduction to industry standard QLab software with LCP Technical Director Steve Allen, and learn how to be a sound tech during LCP Mainstage and Procunier shows.

Lighting Maintenance
Wednesday August 29, 6:00-10:00pm
Learn how to maintain, clean and repair the lights we use in productions at the Palace, with hands-on experience, under the watchful gaze of Technical Director Steve Allen.

Thursday September 6, 6:30-9:30pm
Requires some sound design knowledge and/or experience. Builds on sound design foundations, and moves deeper into loops and the more complicated capabilities of QLab program, and what to do what something goes wrong during a performance.

Friday September 7, 6:30-9:30pm
Requires some sound design knowledge and/or experience. Builds on sound design foundations, and moves deeper into loops and the more complicated capabilities of QLab program, and what to do what something goes wrong during a performance.

Lighting Hang and Focus
Saturday September 8, 10am-3pm, or 4:00pm-9:00pm
Learn to hang, focus and safety theatre lamps with practical hands-on experience in Procunier Hall at the Palace Theatre
