Auditions will be held to cast a Staged Reading of our original musical, Perfect World.
4-5 women about age 25
3-4 women about age 40
4-5 men about age 25
6-7 men age 35 – 60 (minimal singing for some roles)
NARRATOR – singing or non-singing; adult male or female
Perfect World is based on the true-life story of Barbara Follett who, since age 4, wrote prolifically on a typewriter. She wrote two critically acclaimed novels by age 14 and wanted people to turn her idealism into reality. But life and love conspired to thwart her every move. At age 25, she completely disappeared. In Staged Readings, actors sit on stools with scripts on music stands and rise to read or sing. There’s no sets or dance, only minimal actor movement, and minimal costumes and props.

Everyone who auditions or is in the show (including Crew and Production team) must show proof of full vaccination and provide contact tracing information.
Rehearsals start early January. Not all Cast Members attend all rehearsals. Dress Rehearsal Friday, February 4th; Matinee and Evening Shows at The Palace Theatre Saturday, February 5th.
