"The Midnight Village: Hangman's Harvest" at Fanshawe Pioneer Village

Actors are needed for “The Midnight Village: Hangman’s Harvest”, a theatre production at Fanshawe Pioneer Village in London, Ontario. The play is co-written by Jason Rip and Jeff Culbert and co-directed by Jason Rip and Kim Kaitell.

Performances will take place over three weekends in October 2018 (Oct. 12, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28).

Each actor will be paid an honorarium of $700.

Auditions will be by appointment from 6pm-9pm Monday May 14, 2018.

We are hiring actors for the following roles:

*JOHN RADCLIVE: Professional hangman (middle age) – host/guide (improv skilled )

*LUCY SMITH: Murder victim (middle age ) – host/guide (improv skilled )

*CORNELIUS BURLEIGH: Mentally challenged, falsely accused hanging victim, a younger man – host/guide (improv skilled )

PHOEBE CAMPBELL: Crimson-haired axe murderess (preferably red-haired / 20 – 40)

JOHN BROWN – Famous American abolitionist /freedom fighter ( 50’s ) – 2 actors needed

MARIAN “PEG LEG” BROWN – One-legged cop killer – a younger man, good balance required – 2 actors needed

KATE GARDNER – Local victim of serial killer Thomas Neill Cream – a younger woman – 2 actors needed

*The Burley, Radclive and Smith characters act as guides for the audience. In addition to delivering a monologue, they guide visitors between stops, ad-libbing as they go.
