Who knew the pirate craze dated back to Shakespearean time?! Apparently, the star of a popular pirate play — The Fearsome Pirate Frank. Frank is the teenage heartthrob of every girl in Shakespearean England, even though he can’t remember his lines for the life of him!  However, when Frank and his supporting cast, including prima donna Esmerelda, get kidnapped by real pirates during one of their productions, it’s good-bye stardom, hello servitude on a real pirate ship!

Rented Christmas

John Dale, a middle-aged bachelor and prominent businessman, has a challenging job for Anne Weston, proprietor of the local rent shop. He wants to rent a Christmas, not just with a tree and Christmas carols, but complete with a wife, a family, and all of the happiness for which he has been secretly longing. Anne believes she has creatively solved the problem of a Christmas family by calling the actors guild, but when the young actors come down with the measles, her last hope is to turn to the local orphanage. Still, the guild can’t locate a mother for the part, so Anne steps in at the last minute to play the role herself. A “rented” Christmas soon turns into a new life for all concerned, which makes this a very warm and special holiday treat. Beautiful medleys of popular Christmas carols along with delightful original music are the perfect accompaniment to convey the sentiment of the season.

Adventures of a Comic Book Artist

Everyone loves comic book superheroes, so both cast and audience will love this action-packed spoof of the comic book genre complete with hysterical singing superheroes and dancing villains.

Stanley Leonardo Sappovitz wants nothing more than to become a comic book artist and create heroes and villains for the comic books he loves so much. As the janitor at Wonder Comics, he anxiously awaits the day that his boss, D.C. Wunderman, will see his drawings and give him the chance to have his superheroes come alive on the printed page. When plans go awry and Wunderman’s staff of artists unwittingly create the dreaded super-villain Doctor Shock Clock, it is up to Stanley to save the day with his own superheroes—charismatic but egotistical Star Guy, speedy Triple Time, environmentally correct Blossom and cranky little Wombat Woman! With their first year teacher out sick, a quirky cadre of students take it upon themselves to pull together the school’s annual “Classics on Parade”, acting out all the famous stories that they have studied in their literature class. However, the students decide to make the stories relevant to today’s audiences, with hilarious results! It’s a comedic treat sprinkled with outrageous takes on some very familiar characters. You’ll meet many of the pilgrims who tell his tales, including the Wife of Bath who has cleaned up her act for this adaptation and is now a nagging woman who sells self-help DVDs. The Miller makes an appearance too, though nobody wants to hear anything he has to say! Game show host Alex of Trebek and talk show host King Larry contribute a huge dose of additional irreverent fun, as does Geoffrey Chaucer himself.
